Our Wellfleisch , also known as Kesselfleisch (pot meat), is a classic among traditional, hearty dishes. Along with black pudding, liver sausage, and offal, wellfleisch is a staple of a typical meat platter.
We use cooked, uncured pork belly for this dish. Our ready-made version simply needs to be heated in a pan and is ready to serve, ideally with a slice of bread and sauerkraut.
By the way, the wellfleisch gets its name from the slight wave-like movements that the water makes when the meat is simmering.
