The smoked Mettwurst, named after the beautiful town of Braunschweig, is not subject to any preparation requirements, unlike many other regional specialties. Nevertheless, its name is known far beyond the city limits. Regardless of the name, this sausage is a real classic. Pork and fresh spices are processed into a spreadable mass, which is then filled into casings and left to sit in the smokehouse. This is where it develops its strong aroma. Even though our Braunschweiger does not come from Braunschweig, it contains a lot of regionality and heart and soul. This makes it a real classic in the butcher's counter and also in our shop!
